  • Dr. Craig Sultan, O.D., is an alumnus of the State University of New York College of Optometry where he honed his expertise in eye care. In addition to his optometry degree, he expanded his academic horizons with a Master's Degree in Immunology from the University of California, Davis.

    His educational journey reflects a blend of specialized eye care knowledge and a broad understanding of immunological health.

  • With a rich professional tenure spanning over 40 years in the Bay Area and 20 years in the Napa/Solano region, Dr. Sultan brings a wealth of experience to his practice.

    He completed a pivotal residency in pediatrics at the State University of New York, working with thousands of children from six months of age and older. Dr. Sultan is not only known for his expertise in optometry but also for his dedication to personalized care.

    He states, "My commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education. As technology and the world around us changes, we keep updated because we desire to provide the best care possible for our patients.”

    Additionally, he has a significant background in co-managing LASIK, having been a part of the California Optometric Laser Associates (COLA) for 15 years and bringing personal experience to the table, having undergone the procedure himself.

His educational journey, rooted in these renowned universities, has provided him with a comprehensive understanding and skill set in the field of optometry, preparing him for a distinguished career in this domain.

  • With over 36 years of experience in optometry practice, Dr. Harter has dedicated the majority of his career to private practice in California, including a significant tenure at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base.

    His role as the Statewide Optometric Consultant for the California Department of Rehabilitation further accentuates his vast experience and contributions to the field. Dr. Harter's recent addition to the Eye Works Optometry team marks a continuation of his commitment to providing top-notch vision care and therapeutic treatments for various medical eye conditions and injuries.

  • Dr. J. Harter enjoys a fulfilling personal life in Napa with his wife, Pamela. They share a passion for travel, often exploring new places together. Dr. Harter is also an enthusiast of fine wines, a hobby well suited to the Napa Valley's rich vineyard culture.
